I’m currently challenging myself to work with different lighting in my photos, so while I work on several subjects over the next week (including my dear in-laws), I offer a shot of adorable Tommy. He is the owner of two very good friends of mine who live in Pittsburgh.
He is backlit by the sunrise. You won’t find a more purrrfect subject…yeah, I had to do that.
Oh, his eyes are stunning!
Even more so in person! I’m just glad I got some of the fire in the picture. Thanks!
Cute cat, and great lighting. I like the way the cat’s fur blends imperceptibly into the rug at certain points. It’s like the technique of lost-and-found edges in painting.
I hadn’t noticed that! Thank you SOS.

PK, here’s a link to a photo of our cat, the apparently belligerent Winslow: http://sonofsharecroppers.wordpress.com/2013/07/11/basket-case/
Amber eyes. Very beautiful!
What a cat! What a photo!
Thanks Miss Vera! And besides his good looks, he was very affectionate. A lap cat for sure.
What a lovely photo and cute cat.
Thanks! To date, he has been the easiest subject to work with 🙂
